My son is a year 8 student attending Galvin. After our parent/teacher interview with his tutor, last night, I wanted to take the opportunity to offer you some parental feedback about OLS and education at Galvin.

Admittedly, we were sceptical when we learned about OLS when our son started at Galvin last year, but after almost 18 months, we are thrilled with the overall concept, and the results are evident when we see our sons progress and improvement.

We watched our daughter struggle through Secondary College and VCE at another school a few years back, particularly lacking in preparation for the future were things such as:

•  Time management
•   Realistic goal setting, and
•   Organisation

These are only a few of the many skills that were not taught back then and the result was an enormous effort on her part, with very little reward at the end.

OLS teaches the students organisation and time management, by making them accountable for their class time, while teaching them the value of teamwork in an academic environment.

Our son is developing the skills he needs to prepare him for future, we as working parents know will stand him in good stead in the years ahead.
